President Muhammadu Buhari has promised that the government will continually protect the agriculture investments of the private sector.

He made this promise at the Kenya-Nigeria Business Forum held at Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi, Kenya during his three-day official visit to the country.

Furthermore, President Buhari expressed confidence that the Nigeria-Kenya Business Council and the Kenya-Nigeria Agribusiness Forum will serve as platforms for the promotion of intra African trade.

According to a member of the president’s delegation to Kenya who preferred anonymity, noted that the president has directed that all ministries and parastatals in the agriculture space to co-ordinate their activities for improved effectiveness.

President Buhari, who is currently in Addis Ababa for the 26th Summit of African Union Heads of State and Government departed Abuja on Wednesday.
