Playing host to the crème of the agricultural sector across the world, Paris International Agribusiness Show (SIMA), is rising to the challenge of building a farming world with consistent results and greater sustainability.

The ongoing event in Paris Nord Villepinte, France, is an exhibition event held every two years, to showcase technologies and offer solutions for high tech performance and sustainability in agriculture.

In his welcome address, the President of SIMA, Patrick Perard, expressed that the trade show was designed to help exhibitors across the world and all related market players in the sector to learn everything about new technological solutions which will shape economies in the future.

He noted that the event was a great opportunity for companies, exhibitors to extend business activities. He implored them to study new profitable feasibilities to extend their business footprints and networks both in France and beyond.

“This is a previously unimaginable opportunity to exchange technological ideas with agro-managers from all origins, study new profitable feasibilities, extend your business footprint and networks both in France and abroad. It also expands the horizon of visitors and exhibitors to maximize opportunities in the agriculture sector. Let us take advantage of the venue where technology meets with agriculture from all over the world”, he said.

Meanwhile, the Agric Equipment Business Director, Martine Degremont emphasised that the entire event themed “Being a farmer in 10 years” was a focal point for innovation as it seeks to provide concrete solutions to cater for the current concerns in the agricultural sector.

She also added that it also stood out as a business introduction tool for all market players with headline events such as the SIMA Dealer’s Day-ting and the SIMA African Summit.

The agribusiness show which currently hosts more than 1,770 companies from 140 countries, 13 exhibition sectors and 300 international delegations, will come to a close on the 2 March, 2017.
